Seamus
SEAMUS was born in Port Townsend, on
the "straights of Juan De Fuca", in upstate Washington. He moved to Hawaii
in 1966 and quickly became a noted diver and underwater photographer. When
an ear problem forced SEAMUS to abandon his diving, he began to sketch
his impressions of the ocean and its fragile beauty. As the demand for
his pieces increased, so did the creativity of his work. SEAMUS, the artist,
had arrived.
His unique use of colors combined
with his attentioin to authenticity has set SEAMUS apart from all other
marine artists for the past 20 years. "I want to express purity as well
as beauty in my paintings.", he says. He can be found doing exactly that
daily at his home gallery on the beautiful and magical island of Kauai.
